Alastair Robertson

Alastair is the Senior Partner of Burnett & Reid and is accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Agricultural Law. A graduate of Aberdeen University, Alastair joined the firm in 1969 and has been a partner since 1971.

Alastair has over 40 years experience of advising clients in connection with a wide range of rural and related matters and is both well known and respected in agricultural and farming circles. His specific areas of practice include the purchase and sale of farms and agricultural and sporting estates, fishings and forestry, agricultural tenancies and landlord and tenant disputes, estate management, rental negotiations, farming partnerships, quotas, subsidies and related affairs. He also deals with all aspects of property development including the negotiation of development option agreements, the acquisition and disposal of green and brown field sites and with general property matters including the sale and purchase of commercial and residential property.

Alastair is a member and past president of Aberdeen St Fittick Rotary Club, a past president of The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen and is a popular after dinner speaker.
