Eilidh Scobbie

Eilidh is our Private Client Partner. A graduate of Aberdeen University (MA LLB of 1975) she also lectured there in Revenue Law (Tax Law) to Law and Land Economy students, only leaving to join Burnett & Reid. Her present workload involves will writing, tax planning, advising charitable organisations, administering trusts and handling complex and contentious executry estates. She has developed a special interest in assisting families in making provision for vulnerable and mentally disabled members and herself acts as attorney or guardian for a number of adults who, for a number of reasons, are incapable of handling their own money.

Eilidh is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland in Trust Law and serves on the Society’s Trust and Succession Law and Tax Law committees. She is a member of STEP and is the author of the current edition of “Currie on Confirmation of Executors”.

Outside of work, Eilidh enjoys hill-walking and ski touring, and in recent years, has been involved in the organisation of an outdoor activities festival, Active Aboyne.
