John Sutherland

John is a partner in the Agricultural Department and also oversees the factoring work of the firm. A native of Aberdeen, he was educated at The Gordon Schools, Huntly, and thereafter at The Robert Gordon’s College. He originally joined Burnett & Reid 1962 as estate factor, and having qualified as solicitor 1979 became a partner of the firm in 1981.

John is accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Agricultural Law, and principally advises on land management and the factoring of estates. In addition to this he handles a wide range of private client work including property purchases and sales, wills, and powers of attorney.
