William Robertson

William is a partner in the Commercial Department of the firm and has qualifications in both Scots Law and English Law. Having graduated with Honours from Aberdeen University in 2003, he went on to obtain a post-graduate diploma in 2004, and to fully qualify as a solicitor in 2006.

Since joining Burnett & Reid in 2008 William has acted for a number of clients operating in the Healthcare, Construction, Energy, and Retail sectors and has wide experience in advising on aspects of commercial property, commercial leasing, renewable energy developments, corporate acquisitions and divestments, company management, franchises, partnerships and commercial contracts.

Notable achievements with the firm include:

• Providing ongoing representation to one of Scotland’s largest independent care home operating groups
• Acting for an Aberdeen based property group in connection with their £18 million real estate and shopping centre portfolio
• Advising in connection with the proposed £10 million sale of a manufacturing company operating in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Acting for an offshore investment company in connection with their £30 million Scottish property portfolio
• Representing a number of local estates and land owners in connection with onshore renewable energy developments

Outside of work he is a keen musician, cook and boxing enthusiast. He qualified as an SFA Players Agent in 2010 and also serves as a trustee on the board of the Aberdeen Vineyard Church.
