Ross is a Solicitor Advocate & Notary Public. 

Ross has considerable experience in all court and tribunal related matters. 

Alasdair has been a Court Lawyer for over 30 years, during which he has been involved in a great variety of cases, covering everything from the finer points of seed potato cultivation to advising on offshore health and safety issues. More recently however his focus has been on Property and Commercial disputes with a busy side line in Guardianships. 

When he is not sorting out other people’s problems, he is husband and father of 3 and runs a Karate club in Aberdeen City.

Joel joined Burnett & Reid's Litigation team in 2026 and advises clients across a range of civil disputes. Having qualified as a Solicitor in September 2025, he has experience handling debt recovery matters, heritable property disputes, and contractual disputes, providing practical and effective solutions tailored to his clients' needs.

Joel has experience appearing in Sheriff Court actions and is committed to guiding clients through the litigation process with clear advice and a pragmatic approach. He is also a Notary Public.

Outside the office, Joel enjoys resolving disputes of a different kind as a football referee. He also values spending time with his family and friends.
